Sting - The Dream of The Blue Turtles

Voici l'album qui m'a donné une première approche du jazz, Sting est un artiste que j'ai toujours apprécié. De plus, The Dream Of The Blue Turtles est des premiers albums que j'ai eu en dehors d'artistes comme JJ Goldman, ou Bruel (nous avons tous nos casseroles musicales !! ).

"The Dream ..." a été enregistré en 1985, avant la séparation de Police. Sting s'entoure de jazzmen renommés Brandford Marsalis (saxophones), Kenny Kirkland (claviers), Omar Hakim (batterie) et Darryl Jones (basse et futur Rolling Stones).

Cet album connaitra un assez grand succès notament avec le très beau titre Russians. On y retrouve aussi des titres entrainants comme If you love Somebody Set Them Free qui deviendra un incontournable lors de ses concerts. J'aime beaucoup le titre un reggae Love is the seventh wave.
